See the Colorado Music Festival Orchestra as they prepare for their next concert. The community is invited to attend a number of rehearsals at Chautauqua Auditorium.
Due to restrictions related to the Coronavirus pandemic, we will not be able to make any of our 2021 season rehearsals open to the public. We hope to resume open rehearsals next season.
We are pleased to offer the long-standing tradition of free, open-to-the-public rehearsals. Open rehearsals are free, but not all rehearsals are open. Rehearsal order and selection of rehearsed repertoire can vary at the discretion of the conductor. Guest artists are typically not present at open rehearsals. Rehearsals are not performances, so there are a few rules that we ask you to observe during your visit:
- Orchestra musicians will be making final preparations for upcoming performances; there is no guarantee that they will perform all of the works on that evening’s performance.
- Although musicians and artists may be speaking to one another on stage, it is disruptive for audience members to carry their own conversations. Please observe the same silence that you would keep for a performance.
- Please expect to remain seated during the open rehearsal. Trips in and out of the Auditorium can be disruptive to the musicians.
