Volunteering is a great way to share your skills with the community, and it offers the opportunity to get to know people who share your love of music. There are numerous opportunities to get involved including:
- Host Musicians During the Summer Festival
CMF Musicians come from all over the world to perform at Chautauqua Auditorium. During the 6-week Festival, many Boulder residents open up their homes to musicians, and in the process build lasting and meaningful relationships. You will be asked to take the housing questionnaire in order to ensure your space is compatible with CMF housing guidelines. - Musician Hospitality
Musicians are at the heart of our organization and ensuring their comfort and happiness is a top priority for us at CMF & CMA. There are many ways to help with musician hospitality, including apartment set-up and item retrieval to storage units, musician breakfast assistance, special appreciation events and more. Submit your interest in musician hospitality and we will find the best fit for you. Some jobs require lifting and moving. - Musician Airport Transportation
Be the first to welcome our world-class guest artists to Boulder by signing up to assist with airport transportation! It’s a great way to get to know our guests and show them our appreciation. - Assist with Special Events
Special events are critical to the financial success of our organization. From galas to donor appreciation events, there are always jobs available. Please submit your interest and our staff representative will discuss the options. - Assist with Instrument Rental
Instrument rental is a critical part of our Heartstrings program. We provide low and no-cost instruments to hundreds of individuals each year. Jobs include staffing instrument fairs, logging outgoing and incoming instruments and helping to track and maintain the instruments’ quality. Must be familiar with instruments and instrument types to assist. - Assist with Education Activities
Music education is a primary focus of our organization. Many of our long-standing educational activities were created by dedicated volunteers. These include the YPC lawn fair, instrument petting zoos, events at the Center for Musical Arts and more. - CMF Concert Usher (7 concert minimum)
CMF concert ushers are needed for each concert at Chautauqua. These individuals assist patrons with seating, hand out program books, check tickets and handle other patron questions as they arise. Ushers are the face of the organization to many concert goers, so we take care to treat them well! Ushers enjoy attending concerts in assigned seats and other social benefits. Orientation and a minimum commitment of seven (7) concerts is required. - Become A Social Media Ambassador
Spread your love of CMF & CMA, and help us get the word out about all of the great things we do! Simply “like”, “share” “tag” and “check-in” to our events on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Nextdoor.
