When announced, open rehearsal dates will be shared on this page. If there are no dates listed, none have been announced yet.
Please observe the following rules and expectations for open rehearsals:
- All other rehearsals for the 2023 season are closed to the public
- Guest artists are typically not present at open rehearsals
- No reservation is required, but you must arrive in enough time to be seated before the rehearsal begins; once the door is closed, entry will not be allowed
- Rehearsal order and selection of rehearsed repertoire can vary at the discretion of the conductor
- Rehearsals are not performances; orchestra musicians will be making final preparations for upcoming performances
- Although musicians and artists may be speaking to one another on stage, it is disruptive for audience members to carry on their own conversations; please observe the same silence that you would for a performance
- Audience seating is limited to the back sections of Chautauqua Auditorium
- Please remain seated during the open rehearsal; trips in and out of the Auditorium can be disruptive to the musicians
- Only water is allowed in the auditorium at all times; please do not bring food or drink inside the auditorium
- Photos and videos are not allowed by members of the audience
