On July 13, 2023, saxophonist Timothy McAllister returns to the Colorado Music Festival to perform composer-in-residence John Corigliano’s fascinating and demanding Triathlon. McAllister made a big splash with the Festival in 2022 performing John Adams’ City Noir. About this Tiny Rock Concert
In this stunning Tiny Rock Concert, Festival guest artist Timothy McAllister performs three works transcribed for alto sax: the “Courante” from Bach’s Cello Suite No. 1; “Sarabande” from Bach’s Flute Partita in A Minor; and Debussy’s “Syrinx.” Tiny Rock Concerts are produced by the Colorado Music Festival and take place at Chautauqua Park against a backdrop of Boulder’s beautiful Flatirons.
