Postponing Our Season Announcement in Response to the Tragedy in Boulder

March 24, 2021

Dear friends of the Festival,

As much as the staff, board, and faculty members of the Colorado Music Festival & Center for Musical Arts are passionate about music, community is truly the heart of our most important work.

We had planned to share the details of our 2021 Festival season this week. However, following the news of Monday’s tragic shooting at a Boulder-area King Soopers, we here at the Festival are feeling as though we need to pause in order to put our community first, as well as our own hearts.

We look forward to sharing our season details on Monday, March 29, with the sincere hope that our music canplay an active role in helping our communities — both in Boulder and around the world — experience moments of joy and togetherness. We could all use something to look forward to.

(Festival subscribers: as a result of this change in timing, the deadline for our subscription deposit has been extended through the end of Sunday, April 4. To review all information about subscription deposits, visit this page.)

If you, like me, are looking for ways to show your support, the Colorado Healing Fund is raising funds for immediate and long-term support to the victims of this tragedy. If you need support yourself, the Daily Camera has provided a helpful list of resources including vigils, support groups, crisis hotlines, and more.Thank you for your understanding and patience.

With true hope for peace,

Elizabeth McGuire
Executive Director
