Dear friend of the Colorado Music Festival & Center for Musical Arts,
First off, I would like to thank you for all the support you have given us during two of the most challenging years in our history. I write to you from a world I couldn’t have imagined in 2019. In this continually altering environment, the need for providing the outlet of music to enrich lives is more critical than before. Yes, in order to fulfill our mission, our staff put our resilience and creativity to the test to provide these services. But make no mistake about it, our ability to continue to provide music to our community is because of generous people like you.
These are the kinds of stories that we love to hear from supporters like you:
- It was a rich and fabulous experience—the music, Augustine, and the audience—a pure celebration of being together with live music, and our beloved summer festival. Thank you!
—2021 Festival attendee - I am a 66 year old woman who, after retirement, decided to pursue a lifelong wish to play an instrument. It’s been very challenging, and difficult for me to progress, difficult to understand music theory. But I am grateful for the opportunity to learn. I’m also grateful to the Center for offering financial assistance so that I am able to pursue this dream.
—Center for Musical Arts student - For me, getting back to playing with the Center’s jazz band is exceptionally important. I was recently reminded of how fragile life is…it’s music that plays a huge part in keeping my spirits up and facing these road bumps.

2021 has been a year of hope and growth as the Festival and Center have rebounded with innovative new programming and a continued commitment to excellence and access.
A few of this year’s achievements we are proud to share:
- Our brand new mobile “Tiny Stage,” which allows us to share music with more of our community
- Our Center for Musical Arts studio access project, which provides wheelchair access for our downstairs studios
- The return of the Colorado Music Festival to the concert hall, to critical national acclaim
- Four Festival world premieres: these fresh, vibrant new works thrilled audiences and have already been picked up by major orchestras across the country
- Bold and exciting Festival programming that allows us to stake new ground in the future of classical music
As you plan your year-end giving, I ask you to please consider a donation to the Colorado Music Festival & Center for Musical Arts. We have seen first-hand how important music education and performance are to our community, and your continued support ensures that our music remains both world-class and accessible.
